The Perak Deanery Orang Asli Apostolate was established in 2014 at the Church of St. Michael, Ipoh. The Apostolate manages the Sahabat Orang Asli (SOA) project which is dedicated towards promoting the welfare and development of Orang Asli communities in Perak.
SOA’s community development work include infrastructure development and repairs; construction of water, sanitation and hygiene facilities; medical healthcare and nutrition; education and employment; economic development; food aid and emergency relief and periodic awareness and training programmes for the Orang Asli.
